Anyway, anyone know why NCV behaves so badly ?

In  perl scripts, I  use the following line to  prevent  misinterpretation:
     $Msg=3D~ s/:/:/g ;  $Msg=3D~ s/=3D/=/g ;
(assuming that the status message without NCV is assembled in $Msg).

That's an interesting solution but sadly impossible in these cases as the mes=
sages are generated by Devmon
