We've configured bbgen to make the hostname a link to our CMDB: CMD bbgen=20 $BBGENOPTS --report --wml --rss --nopropyellow=3Dupdates,conn --docurl=3Dhttp= ://sanity/hardware/search?criteria=3Dhostname&search_string=3D%s Regards, Buchan --===============3405194526907235808==-- From klomph@nlr.nl Wed Jun 24 08:17:04 2026 From: klomph@nlr.nl To: xymon@xymon.com Subject: [hobbit] Hobbit HTML issue Date: Fri, 04 Jan 2008 17:11:27 +0100 Message-ID: In-Reply-To: <003701c84ee6$84259800$8c70c800$@rr.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="===============2443393676701939489==" --===============2443393676701939489== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable yes, correct. We have over 500 firewalls with a common naming scheme, so anything that starts with certain characters makes the host name a link to https://ip-address. But it did require some hacking. If that sounds appealing, I'll see about getting you a patch listing. stewart On Jan 4, 2008 8:21 AM, Joshua Krause wrote: > > > > > I am wondering if there is a way to make the name of the host in the > bb-hosts file a link for http, telnet or ssh. All pages starting with DeviceLink are documentation about the hosts in hobbit. All pages starting with CheckLink are documentation about the checks in hobbit. It is easy to create a TWiki page that creates an overview off all documentation. Stef --===============4588529962256990022==--
