thanks to the efforts of Bruno Manzoni, the mailing list archive has been brought back to life. Bruno did the hard work of figuring out why Mailman/Hyperkitty did not work, and this morning I imported the old archive (from January 2005 until now) into the list archive.

That means Xymon (then: Hobbit) actually turned 25 on March 31st - the date when version 4.0.0 was released. How appropriate that 2026 seems to be the year when development efforts pick up speed again. I must have done something right back then.

One slight bug in the import of the old archive: The import utility did not correctly detect the timestamp or sender of some older messages, so if you look at the list of threads then you'll see quite a few with a timestamp of today (June 24 2026) and sender "None". I considered deleting them, but deleting a thread appears to be quite a heavy job - so I'll leave them alone.
