On my Sol 9 system running unpatch beta. Ive confirmed there is a problem with hobbitping . Since the beta (and hbbitping)I got a lots of red conn , I just ran 12 hours using fping with out any problems . Soon as I turn it back on they started again.. It not for every thing and changes., things go red then green again.
Im thinking that if it is not a bug in hobbitping then it maybe a resource problem that I "tune", since Im not a programmer at all Ive not looked at your code to see what its doing.
IM happy with fping , while hobbitping about 5 times faster , it really doesn't impacted my monitoring, only using about 30 sec for 419 hosts and 414 test.

if it's not too much trouble, could I ask you to grab the current hobbitping patch from http://www.hswn.dk/hobbitsw/betapatches/hobbitping-debugandsource.patch apply it on your Solaris box and try it out ?
I'm interested to hear if it logs any "send" errors.
Thanks, Henrik
