I'm running two hobbit (well, one is xymon) servers, the xymon server receives all reports from the older hobbit server.
This has been through various stages of working/not working, but currently it is mostly working.
On the remote hobbit server, everything is working perfectly. On the local xymon server, I have everything working perfectly except I get purple status for bbd, bbgen, and bbtest.
I'm trying to work out which processes are responsible for reporting these, and why they are sending the status to 127.0.0.1 instead of the external IP.
In hobbitserver.cfg I have: BBSERVERIP="127.0.0.1" BBDISP="127.0.0.1"
In hobbitlaunch.cfg I have: [hobbitd] ENVFILE /usr/lib/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg CMD hobbitd --pidfile=$BBSERVERLOGS/hobbitd.pid
- --restart=$BBTMP/hobbitd.chk --checkpoint-file=$BBTMP/hobbitd.chk
- --checkpoint-interval=600 --log=$BBSERVERLOGS/hobbitd.log
- --admin-senders=127.0.0.1,$BBSERVERIP --store-clientlogs=!msgs
- --listen=127.0.0.1
[bbproxy] ENVFILE /usr/lib/hobbit/server/etc/hobbitserver.cfg CMD $BBHOME/bin/bbproxy --hobbitd
- --bbdisplay=$REMOTEIP,127.0.0.1 --listen=$LOCALIP
- --report=$MACHINE.bbproxy --no-daemon --timeout=30
- --pidfile=$BBSERVERLOGS/bbproxy.pid LOGFILE $BBSERVERLOGS/bbproxy.log
Where $REMOTEIP is the IP address of the remote xymon server and $LOCALIP is the external IP of the hobbit server
I've managed to clear almost all of the non-green tests from my xymon, and clearing these three purple ones would be very nice :)
Thanks, Adam
