I'm trying to get the hobbit client running on AIX (5.3 TL-02) -- and while it starts, and stays up, it's not generating a 'msg.txt' file.
Here's all I've got in the log:

The client task usually logs to "hobbitclient.log" - anything there?
I seem to recall there was a problem with AIX and netstat reported some time ago, where the client would hang while running "netstat -an". Check what processes you have running spawned from hobbitlaunch (if any).
