XymonPSclient 2.41 xymonlog purple
I just installed XymonPSclient v2.41 on some new hosts.? I'm getting purple's in the 'xymonlog' column even though there's info there. Why is it going purple?? And/or how can I make it permanently green?

Add the keyword xymonlogsend into the Client-config file. That tells the PS client to send the xymonlog up to the Xymon server for that column.

Thanks Tim, your solution works to turn the column green, but I really don't care about that particular log file and I'd rather not clutter up my server with that info.? It seems that a new client install sends that data by default the first time, and then subsequent cycles are purple unless that 'xymonlogsend' keyword is configured.? Is there an easy way to disable it by default so a new client install doesn't send that log?? Perhaps a setting in the xymonclient_config.xml that will disable it?

Personally, I love having that file available. I use it to troubleshoot issues with the client and/or transmission. for example, I was able to determine that several servers were loading all of the network connection data, so I helped create the new port: keyword to only have listening ports sent. The file was so big it overran the buffers setting on the Xymon server, causing truncating of data. I also use the 'servicecheck' function. Only this log file shows whether the identified services are running, and status if client successfully restarts a service, without waiting for that Alerts to clear. (I also helped create the maintenance window analog of 'noservicecheck'). Lastly, I believe that the file is overwritten on Xymon each time it is sent, so it does not use up a lot of space cluttering up the server. Others familiar with the server end may have to correct that assumption.
