Linux client not reporting cpu, disk - but reporting other services
Hi,
Today i installed the Hobbitclient on a linux-machine. I installed it out of the box from the rpm file.
I added smtp as a service. It reports smtp, conn and trends. But there's no info about cpu or disk. Why is that? Have i done anything wrong?
Thanks

Most common cause is that the hostname used by the client is different from the hostname you have in your bb-hosts file. On the client, what's the hostname reported by the "uname -n" command ? If that is different from the hostname you have in the bb-hosts file, start the client with the "--hostname=THE.REAL.HOSTNAME" option.

uname -n show exactly the same name as listed in the bb-host file on the server. So these seems to match as they should.
the client is using the following package: hobbit-client-4.1.2p1-1FC4.i386.rpm<http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/hobbitmon/hobbit-client-4.1.2p1-1FC4.i386.rpm?download>
Any other tips to solve this issue?
Thanks

Is there a "hobbitlaunch" process running ? Is there a /usr/lib/hobbit/client/tmp/msg.txt file with a recent (i.e. within the pas 5 minutes) timestamp ?

yes, "ps ax" shows a hobbitlaunch.

yes, the file is there, with a recent timestamp:
1 hobbit hobbit 12878 Nov 17 13:46 msg.txt

Henrik,
I still haven't managed to solve this issue. Do you have any other clues what might be wrong?
Thanks in advance.
