Hi,
I did a clean install with the patch and everything looks good so far. I've even been able to use BBConfigure with to generate the hosts file. Nice.
A question about enabling and disabling. The form requires the input of the username and reason for disabling a monitor. This is a good idea for tracking. However, I don't see where this information is displayed anywhere. Am I missing something?

I just discovered (and really like), the apache, apache1, apache2, apache3 graphs. It looks like by default Hobbit adds the apache graph to trends. How do I add the other graphs as well? I tried editing the GRAPHS variable in hobbitserver.cfg but Im still seeing the default apache graph.
Also, is it possible to have a status dot for any of the apache performance tests and be able to set alerts on the values?
Thanks, -Charles

I asked that very question some time ago...never got a reply :-)
-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Disable message not being added to status for disabled hosts/services? Date: Sun, 16 Jan 2005 16:55:01 -0700 From: Charles Jones <jonescr at cisco.com> To: hobbit at hswn.dk References: <20050116224228.GA9232 at hswn.dk>
When using bb+maint.pl, when you disable a host you get the blue dot, and if you click on the dot you see why it was disabled, by who, and for how long, example:
blue Fri Jan 7 15:00:00 2005 OFFLINE UNTIL Fri Dec 1 15:00:00 2006
997920 minutes (99 weeks) Disabled by: cjones at x.x.x.x Reason: Indefinitely offline
I notice that when you disable a host with hobbit, if you click the blue dot it does not have that info, and just has basically the last status received.
Is there a configuration option to have the disabled info similar to bb+maint.pl ?
Thanks, -Charles

My apologies, it's been sitting in my mailbox. I remember checking this problem and noticing "yup, needs to be fixed" - but I never got around to replying.
I believe the information is recorded by the Hobbit daemon, and made available to the bb-hostsvc.cgi script that generates the detailed status view. So I just need to fix the CGI to actually show this information.
