[hobbit] bb-hostedit v1.1 beta released
It could just be the version of outlook I am using too (wish I could use mutt with an exchange server ;)
The patches are at: http://www.nerdvana.org/eric/files/bb-hostedit-fieldwidth.patch and http://www.nerdvana.org/eric/files/bb-hostedit-zeropos.patch

Is there a URL where these can be obtained? :-)

I added quite a bit of user input checking in this version (as well as turning all reused code blocks into their own subroutines; that should make the script more extensible for future mods). I'm mainly trying to make sure that people dont do anything 'tricky', like feeding the script custom form data that could potentionally destroy your bb-host files.
That's what you are running into here; I had used an 'if' statement to see if a group/page was defined, based on its file position. Of course, the first line is position 0, so it returned false. D'oh! People keep doing this that I dont expect ;)
The attached patch should fix it.

short question.
i get following message on 'edit mainpage\add host': Undefined position pointer, can't add host
and on 'edit mainpage\edit group': Can't edit a root group (2)
edit any subpage works fine on the other hand...
my bb-hosts looks like this atm:
group-compress hobbit_test_system
127.0.0.1 myhobbit # BBDISPLAY BBPAGER BBNET bbd http://myhobbit/
page test_systems our test systems
xx.yy.9.59 myhost1
xx.yy.88.73 myhost2 #
bb-hostedit v1 had been worked fine.. why not 1.1? :\
thank you in advance!
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Yours sincerely

Once you guys have beaten on it for a little bit, I'll put it up on deadcat (although I'll make all the options set to the bigbrother defaults when I do that).

I am stuck with an exchange server - Exchange 5.5! But I access it with mutt. Usually Evolution, but I'll use mutt when I'm vpn'ed in from a winDOwS box and only have putty...
Just ask your exchange admins to turn on imap.

I'll get this installed soon. Lots of people here want it.
