Anyone using Xymon to monitor Linux LVM volumes?
Before I invent the wheel, wondering if anyone's got a test going for linux LVM volumes?
Perhaps using lvdisplay --all, or vgs/vgdisplay ?
(I am not so familiar with LVM, have used Solaris SVM and Veritas and zfs and assorted storage devices)
thanks Betsy
I have a perl script I run. It figures out which disks are in which lvm and what file system. Then it gets iostats for it all and graphs it :-) works on RHEL 4 and 5. Its evening here. I will send you a copy when I get to work tomrrow :-)
