Right now I have this line:
MAIL josh at imaginenetworksllc.com COLOR=RED DURATION>15m REPEAT=0 RECOVERED
What I was expecting out of that was for the REPEAT to simply not work - it is still repeating the messages every few minutes =( If I have to, I can all back on repeating every 24h or something ridiculous, but I'd like a more "professional" value!

If you leave out the REPEAT entirely, it is assumed you don't get repeating messages, if I recall correctly. That's how we have it configured for a couple of our customers' alerts.

I thought I had it that way last week. I'll let you know (hopefully not too soon - customers are not pleased with downtime =)

Thought so - if you do not specify a REPEAT argument it defaults to one hours time. Even on the info page it reads "-" under the repeat column =/

I just say "REPEAT=365d". Annual renotification is fine with me for those really long-lasting problems! I don't care much about how "professional" it looks. For me, 365d is actually clearer than 0. One would probably assume that 0 means "no repeats", but an assumption is still the first step towards a screw up, and I prefer the unambiguous 365d setting myself.

I did try REPEAT=0 and it was every minute. I'll just take your suggestion and be done with it. No big deal.
