How do people handle Holidays (and/or vacations) and the alerts?
I'm not a programmer but was wondering if it would be possible to add the list of holidays to the hobbit-alert.cfg, have the system read that list, and if the date matches, treat it like a Sunday.
Suggestions/Feedback/flames....

It wouldn't be difficult to implement. Obviously, you'd need some sort of configuration mechanism to define what days are treated as holidays, I would do that outside of the hobbit-alerts config, though - Hobbit uses time settings in several places, e.g. the DOWNTIME setting for individual hosts would probably benefit from the same knowledge that "today is a holiday".
I think it might be necessary - at least for my Hobbit installation - to use multiple holiday schedules. Where I work there are systems for customers from several countries, and the holidays in the UK are not the same as those in Denmark. So there should be a way of saying that "this host uses the UK holiday schedule" and all other hosts use a default schedule.
