I seen old message (20/08/2013) with equal question but it remained unanswered as I understand it. "hosts.cfg.5.html" contains

depends=(testA:host1/test1,host2/test2),(testB:host3/test3),[...]

I attempt to use

172.16.2.1 test-dep1 # conn 172.16.1.1 test-dep2 # conn depends=(conn:test-dep1/conn)

and it is not works. Both "conn" tests are red. Should it work now ? Xymon 4.3.26.
