I've grabbed the current snapshot of hobbit from http://www.hswn.dk/beta/. It won't compile, however, since apparently the signature of the sendmessage function has changed, but none of the calls to sendmessage have been adjusted. Does anybody have a recent snapshot that works (or at least compiles) or is there an ETA for a fix?

I didn't get an official reply though from the developper(s). However, I had grabbed a snapshot 3 weeks ago to start testing and it compiles properly so I'm currently using this older version.

You know, the snapshots are not meant for "production" so you use them at your own risk. Henrik patiently welcomes all feedback, but the snapshots are "as is."

I download snapshot almost every day, and check what changes there are, before I upload it to HP-UX. In the current snapshot there are no changes since 2008-04-30 (sendmessage.c and sendmessage.h) and this version doesn't compile.

No, unfortunately boring (ie: real) work has been eating away at my time lately. I hope to get it back into a compilable state this week.

How do I go about getting these older snapshots? I'm in a bit of a bind since I'm building my new hobbit server and neither 4.2 or the snapshot compile on ubuntu 8.04 LTS.

4.2.0 does compile on Ubuntu 8.04, I just tried it. If it doesn't work for you, then you're probably missing some of the prerequisite libraries and/or developer packages (librrd-dev, libpcre3-dev, libssl-dev, libldap2-dev).
