The following post asked the question of how to add vmstat1, vmstat3, etc to the trends page: http://www.hobbitmon.com/hobbiton/2007/01/msg00264.html
I cannot find a response to this. Does one have to add TRENDS
definitions to all hosts, or is there a way to specify these globally?
I've tried adding "vmstat:vmstat1,vmstat3" or "vmstat1,vmstat3" to the
GRAPHS variable, to no avail.
Thanks in advance. -Alanadd

In the current version 4.2.0, you have to define the TRENDS setting for all hosts you want in bb-hosts (no global setting). We have this for Linux boxes:
TRENDS:*,vmstat:vmstat1
