I have a question about installing xymon. After installing the xymon, I have been unable to get the monitoring program up and running via the web browser in linux. We are running Centos 5.3. I copied the info from hobbit-apache.conf into the httpd.conf file but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Restart apache? What happens when you go to HTTP://ip/xymon/

I usually copy hobbit-apache.conf into /etc/httpd/conf.d rather than into httpd.conf - I don't think that's your problem though. I had to chmod +x ~xymon to allow apache to access xymon's home directory otherwise you get 403 error.
As Martin says, can you give more info?
