How do I increase the BBALPHAMSG on hobbit 4.2.2 ?
I see there is a patch from Henrik for hobbit 4.2.0 in this email from Jan 2008

Should I be able to apply the same patch to 4.2.2 ?

Still need help with this.
Is there a patch to add BBALPHAMSG as an environment variable? That way I can just modify it in hobbitserver.cfg file and restart hobbit.

according to xymon 4.2.2 changelog that patch is already applied

So it looks like the patch is what causing the limit on BBALPHAMSG, doh!
Instead of modifying the Makefile for MAXALERTMSGSZ to a higher value can there be a BBALPHAMSG env variable introduced ?
