[hobbit] Hobbit Webpage | CPU Status not available
Hello,
You can try to check this :
If this key is not present in the registry, it should means that the Performance Logs & Alerts service is not running. Start it, and then change the key as explained above.
Sometimes it is not possible to start the service. See Microsoft Knowledge base art. 223187 : "This issue can occur because logs and alerts cannot be started from the Microsoft Management Console snap-in the Computer Management tool when you start the Performance Logs and Alerts service. The Performance Logs and Alerts service does not start when you start your computer, it starts when a log or alert is started."
To resolve this issue, start your logs or alerts from the Microsoft Management Console snap-in Performance Logs and Alerts:
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools and Performance, and then click Performance Logs and Alerts.
- From the Microsoft Management Console snap-in Performance Logs and Alerts you can open Counter Logs, Trace Logs, or Alerts. Note that if no logs or alerts are present, right-click in the right-side pane, point to New, and then create new Log/Alert settings.
- Right-click the log or alert, click All Tasks, and then click Start.
Hope this helps.

Yes, found the following in readme : CPU and PROCS columns are not generated (or have stopped being generated):
This is only valid if you get a least the disk status. Make sure that the following key has a value of 0. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\PerfProc\Performance\Di sable Performance Counters If it is set to 1, set it to 0.
But there is no registry entry for Disable Performance Counters. Verified on multiple clients that have no issues, and none have this entry.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks Krishnan

This is due to some performance counters being disabled on the
Windows box. I think the BBNT client README file has a description
of how to solve it.

Hi all,
I guess this has probably been asked before but can a big brother client report meaningfully to a hobbit server?
If it can then can it report to both a hobbit and big brother server at the same time?
If it can then wow, and what would my associates have to alter on their big brother client? (they won't allow me access to the machine as it is the DNS for all our European sites :) )
Thanks, Jason.

Yes.

If the client supports multiple servers.

Can't help here I'm afraid, it's been too long since I've used BB :)

There's some code in bbinc.sh (normally included by all client scripts) that picks out entries from the bb-hosts file that contain BBDISPLAY. If you can convince your associates to add a line to the client bb-hosts with your Hobbit server, you should be OK.
