i want to write external scripts for the hp-ilo and hp-health status monitoring.what commnds should i include in that?

Hello nick, Thanks 4 helping me.I have seen the scripts u sent (hp-health.tgz).But i am not able to understand thne script and not able to configure it on hp dl 580 g5 server.Can u throw some light on how and where i will get mibs and oids?how it is exactly working?how it should be configured?

this is what we are currently running, a custom script we wrote for big brother and ported to xymon. time permitting this should all be doable in devmon, there are already some templates available for compaq monitoring (and hp monitoring is basically the same). if you are already running devmon i would check out if that works for you.

I have used devmon with the compaq-server (and compaq-servernohspare) templates, which provides monitoring of power supplies, raid (disks and arrays), fans, temperature, and iml log for Xymon via SNMP.
