This is a new build on a fresh machine, being a Solaris 10 x86 (06/06) build.
Every hour or so we see bbgen go yellow with status-board not available errors, I've run bbgen in -debug but the only error I'm seeing is the one reported, here is an excerpt of the debug log.

I'm sort of stuck now, I've been debugging this for the last day and a bit whilst doing other things but can't really figure out where the problem is.

Looks like hobbitd is having problems. Any indications in the hobbitd.log file and/or hobbitlaunch.log file that it has crashed and restarted ? Any core files in ~hobbit/server/tmp/ ?

Henrik,
That was my first guess, yet there is nothing in the hobbitd.log, hobbitlaunch.log or any core files.
Here is the hobbitlaunch.log from that time period.
