Hi Guys,
So after a while of playing around and getting Xymon up and running I was wondering if Xymon has the capability to monitor Windows based servers and services?
Kind Regards Andre

Hi Andre,
not directly. But there are some Windows clients out there like bbwin or a Powershell client for Windows. These programs run under Windows and report everything back to a XYmon server running on Unix or Linux. You can even use the centralised config for these Windows machines, well at least I know this for bbwin. Didn't play around with the Powershell client so far.

Hi Andre,
Xymon doesn't itself contain a native Windows client, but there are Windows clients that are compatible with it (and, of course, as far as network polling goes it doesn't make a difference). Take a look at:

Hi Guy's
So bbwin you then setup on the Windows Server and that then sends the relevant data to the actual Xymon server that you need, and then it displays on Xymon web browser/frontend?

We're one of many companies migrating from Big Brother and we are having great luck using the old proprietary big brother client.
Take this with a grain of salt -- as leveraging proprietary client software against an open source product is often frowned upon -- but to ease the learning curve, this version has an easy to use GUI that might help get you started.
