What's a quick of way upgrading without overwriting my current configs? Is there a specific upgrade option during/after compiling? I would like to keep ssl support, etc.
tia
The Xymon install process won't overwrite files that you have changed. So the normal ./configure, make, make install, restart will work. You should probably make a backup of your etc directory just in case, though.
Thanks, Larry Barber

Thanks Larry, ./configure recognized the current install path of xymon. also it found SSL in the non-standard folder which was a pain the last upgrade.
Also had to fix
chown root ~xymon/server/bin/xymonping
chmod u+s ~xymon/server/bin/xymonping
due to the error "'xymonping -Ae' failed - program not suid root?" error. I remember the same issue occurred last upgrade.
other than that the upgrade went fine.

It does overwrite the init.d script. That caused me issues.
