"Cannot open configuration files"
I'm seeing this error in rrd-status.log, snapshot build 4.3.0-0.20080103
2008-02-01 16:43:18 Peer not up, flushing message queue 2008-02-01 16:43:18 Cannot open configuration files (null)

I'm assuming you have, but before anyone else asks...have you checked the permissions for the config files to be readable by your hobbit user?

You're running a snapshot. Do a touch ~hobbit/server/etc/hobbit-snmpmibs.cfg and it should go away.
