Unable to showing graph, "trends" column showing blank.
Hi All,
rrd and pcre both i compiled(./configure, make and make install) successfully. Anyway today once i re-compile xymon(xymon-4.2.3) again (like ./configure, make and make install) there after "GRAPH" is showing fine in the xymon page.
Now new problem is: "If i connect agent to the collector server then agent side column(like conn, disk, .... etc.) graph is not displaying in xymon page. Kindly let me know how i can resolve the problem.

Hi Jayanta, It sounds like there is a problem with rrd then. when you ran configure, I imagine xymon would have generated an error about either pcre or rrd missing. have you compiled either of them? If not then download and compile them and run configure, make, make install for xymon again. I recall xymon checks the standard paths for both programs, and if it can't find them it asks you to enter the lib locations; been a while since I last installed it, so I'm a little sketchy! If both packages are already installed then run configure again and just check it over for errors. post anything questionable to the list. Cheers, Phil

Hi Phil, According to your following mail:
- Are any graphs showing on any pages? - No no page showing any graph.
- What version of xymon is this and on what os? - "xymon-4.2.3" and "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)"
- Did you compile it, or was it packaged? - I compiled it, like("./configure", "make" and "make install" from root login)
- Is this a clean install which hasn't worked from the start, or has it become broken? - It is absolutely clean install first time.

OK, could you clarify the following... Are any graphs showing on any pages? What version of xymon is this and on what os? Did you compile it, or was it packaged? Is this a clean install which hasn't worked from the start, or has it become broken? Just wondering whether this is a general rrd issue. Cheers, Phil

If i click on "trends" column its showing nothing. Rest of the column say bbgen etc. once i click on it data is showing but graph is not displaying. At the end of the page only small cross(x) sign with "hobbit graph bbgen" showing. It is something look like: [image: hobbit graph bbgen]<

Hi, is this a problem with one host and its test, or a problem
throughout
the server? Does the xymon server itself have a populated trends
page?
