Playing with graphs? Check out drraw
I just stumbled across this while browsing the RRDtool site. There's a fairly neat tool available for creating custom graphs from data in RRD files, which might be useful if you need to put together data collected by Hobbit.

i have red the top part of the hobbit-clients.cfg file 4 times now and i can't figure out what i am doing wrong.
i am trying to make it so that /cdrom does not cause a red alert
I have tried the following: DISK %^/cdrom.*/ warnlevel=101 paniclevel=102 DISK /cdrom 101 102
any ideas?
thanks, Adam

missed the start of this thread but in the hobbitclient.cfg file in the disk section there should be a line satying DFEXCLUDE="cdrom" or something similar
I'm not running the hobbit client on anything YET but I have looked at it and remembered it was identical to bb for the disk stuff
Hope this helps if its right and sorry if I'm wrong :)

NO. It isn't. Forget all about DFEXCLUDE, DFCMD etc. - they are not used by the Hobbit client.
Hope this helps if its right and sorry if I'm wrong :)
I'm afraid you are.

I stand corrected on that bit but I was sure I was right, and based on the version I had I was. I went and had a look at the client dir from 4.1.1 and theres a hobbitclient.cfg dir with all the old BB sytle things in there
Either im going totally insane or I have an older version of the client files stuck in there
Can you please let me know as we are going to look at changing over to the hobbit client soon and I can honestly say I havent even looked at it yet

That *is* a possibility :-) You'd be surprised how often I have to check the man-pages for some feature I wrote 3 months ago.

Are you running the original 4.1.1 release ? That doesn't parse the hobbit-clients.cfg file correctly. Grab the latest snapshot from http://www.hswn.dk/beta/ and I'll bet it starts working for you.
