the software is well documented, and the site can also give you step by step instructions for this. sorry to insist, but perhaps it's time to read properly the documentation.
Pardon my ignorance but maybe im looking at the wrong documentation then and you can point me to the correct one ?

Nikesh,
You can build a client installation at configure time by doing this:
./configure --client
Then make and make install (as root or sudo).
Note, that the client is already installed on your server. You will only have to do this on machines that you want to actually install the client separately.

Do I copy the client folder on the client machine and then run this ?

No, do this with the source package that you built the server with. Transfer it to the clients, then build.

some options :
- install the client packages for your favourite distro
- grab the sources from sourceforge, then run the configure.client script.
the main doc is available directly in your hobbit server (the menubar at the top of the webpages).
it looks like there is no html page for the client config on the site.
hope this'll help.
Well documentation :
All pages under http://www.hswn.dk/hobbit/help/
