Get username on disabled alerts
Hi Guys
New to xymon
I am looking around to capture the username somewhere in a webpage if a test was disabled, Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Yadvendra
Is your 'xymon-seccgi' webpage directory password protected? My directories all have credentials required using .htaccess files. When a user accesses my Xymon site they must have a user/pass. This prevents any unauthorized users from disabling tests (and seeing things they shouldn't), but also tracks the authorized user's actions. See screenshot 1.
All the 'currently disabled tests' are also tracked on the enable/disable page itself.
'Acknowledgments' appear a little differently though. The user who acknowledged an alert is listed at the very bottom of the specific test page that was acknowledged. See screenshot 2.

Hi Yadvendra,
You would like to log username (as provided by HTTP authentication) with actions and display them, that's right ?

How about if I get it authenticated from LDAP?, If a test is disabled, I just want to capture the id/name.
I want user's id/ name, somehow I can track who disabled it.

It is Apache httpd or whatever web server you are using that is doing the authentication, so google: LDAP server apache httpd
Kind regards,
