hi
The client had been started already.
hobbit 2493 1 0 01:05 ? 00:00:00 /usr/local/hobbitclient/client/bin/hobbitlaunch --config=/usr/local/hobbitclient/client/etc/clientlaunch.cfg --log=/usr/local/hobbitclient/client/logs/clientlaunch.log --pidfile=/usr/local/hobbitclient/client/logs/clientlaunch.Blade3.xbiosystems.com.pid
hobbit 3726 1 0 01:20 ? 00:00:00 sh -c vmstat 300 2 1>/usr/local/hobbitclient/client/tmp/hobbit_vmstat.<my.hostname.com>.3709 2>&1; mv /usr/local/hobbitclient/client/tmp/hobbit_vmstat.<my.hostname.com>.3709 /usr/local/hobbitclient/client/tmp/hobbit_vmstat.Blade3.xbiosystems.com
hobbit 3728 3726 0 01:20 ? 00:00:00 vmstat 300 2
Some other servers are OK. It looks like there are some packages which Hobbit client needs are missing.
I only installed PCRE, nothing else. The Linux only includes "Base" for the installation.
do you have any relevant message in the log file /usr/local/hobbitclient/client/logs/clientlaunch.log ?
Yes, I have the following in the log:
2008-04-17 01:05:16 hobbitlaunch starting 2008-04-17 01:05:16 Loading tasklist configuration from /usr/local/hobbitclient/client/etc/clientlaunch.cfg
do you have some traffic on port 1984 ? [root at localhost]# /usr/sbin/tcpdump -i bond0 port 1984 tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on bond0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
don't you use the same name for all you clients, which means each client will update/erase the same status on the hobbit server ? No, they are using different names
Is there any other packages are needed?
Cheers
Ben
