Hi all,
It makes me think of a feature that would be very nice...
The ability to create a configuration based on "tags" and so one would be able to build confs without listing explicitly machines inside
page mygroup group-compress mywww 0.0.0.0 www1 # http://www1/ 0.0.0.0 www2 # http://www2/ 0.0.0.0 www3 # http://www3/ ...
Would become
page mygroup group-compress-on-tag mywww tag=mywww 0.0.0.0 clientname # http://clientname/
And the group would be dynamic (the number of machines is not relevant)... and the line of config would be based on a template line

For EC2 hosts, I changed MACHINEDOTS variable in runclient.sh on xymon client. eg. MACHINEDOTS=hostname.example.com<http://hostname.example.com>
On server side, no need to use CLIENT or NAME in hosts.cfg, just use the name which is defined in client's MACHINEDOTS.
