You will note that he works for EMC. Ionix is the product he’s using.
We’re starting to migrate to it and away from Precision/Netcool/Omnibus.

Hi,
We used to use Netcool, and we would send snmptraps from Xymon to Netcool. Currently we do the same, but with our own product.

Hi,
That would be a solution – but we have 2 xymon-servers, both active, but only 1 used as primary – so I don’t see how I could manage 2 logfile-agents on both xymon-servers.
Anyone else have another type of solution to this?

Carl,
I'm currently sending events from XYMON to TEC (the previous correlation sever from IBM).
In the hobbit-alaerts.cfg I put these lines: HOST=* SCRIPT /project/hobbit0/bin/tec_link.pl any REPEAT=30 FORMAT=SMS
This is script is triggered by each new alarm and old ones every 30minutes. It's writing events in a log file in the format I want. This log file is read by a TEC agent.

Hi,
Do anyone forward alerts into OMNIbus - and how have you approached this?
