A flapping status means that for that specific Host/test it receives more input from clients than normally expected.
Most of the time it indicates that or
- xymon has been started on a server twice. (With different users perhaps?)
- Two servers with the same hostname defined sent info to the xymon server for that same test.
To troubleshoot: If you open the impacted test check the ip from the client sending the information. Look at the history of the test and see if you can spot a different ip there. Check on the host from the test if xymon runs twice...

We recently migrated our Hobbit 4.2 server to Xymon 4.3.18. For some some clients, I noticed a warning "Xymon WARNING: Flapping status". What is flapping status? how to avoid, but not disable it?
