Snapshot has ping failure

I installed today's snapshot and since then the conn test seems to fail:

Service conn on vir is not OK : Host does not respond to ping

System unreachable for 9 poll periods (5743 seconds)

I am using fping and have configured to do so at configure time, and I double checked to make sure fping works manually:

$ /usr/sbin/fping vir vir is alive

So that works. Any suggestions?
