[Xymon] quick question - wildcard multiple logs in client-local?

I have a set of ever-changing-name log files which I want to check for the string "ERROR"

This works in client-local.cfg, for file metadata: file:ls /vg8_bo3_stats/vg8_stats/top_talkers/server_*/server*

This does not work log:ls /vg8_bo3_stats/vg8_stats/top_talkers/server_*/server*

Should it? Or do I have to write a custom script? The files will be named with the date like so /vg8_bo3_stats/vg8_stats/top_talkers/server_4/server_4_2014-09-24T012005

xymon 4.3.17 on RHEL6
