I just happen to be using a wiki as a CMS.
How about a middle ground. A community "sandbox" of sorts. I place where end users can post their content. The content can be reviewed before making it to "semi"-official docs.
I be glad to contribute what I can. I just happened to become recently employed by a company that uses Hobbit as an enterprise solution. I am expected to learn hobbit and have been compiling notes before, during, and after install on my test box.
