I just wanted to follow up on this now that Henrik is back from his well-deserved vacation.
Has the patch that fixed the bbgen crash issue been rolled into the most recent snapshot? Is there anything else I can do to help debug why hobbitfetch binary from 4.2 works but any newer one crashes? I guess one thing I could do is upgrade to the latest snapshot, and see if there are any issues.

Anyhow currently bbgen and hobbitfetch are no longer crashing, so my fire is out for the moment :)-Charles

Others have reported the same - this should fix it, I think.
(In case anyone wonders why I've been so quiet on the list lately, it is because I'm having my summer holidays right now - so the family needs some attention :-) Also I've been lucky - we've had nothing but rain for the past 7 weeks, but now we're finally getting some nice summer weather).
