Is there any way (besides a custom script) to check content of a web page? http://www.mywebpage.com/users/special.html must contain the string "XXXXX"
This is called a "content check". See the bb-hosts man page, but it looks like this:
10.0.0.1 www.foo.com # cont;http://mywebpage.com/users/special.html;XXXXX
P.S. The offer of those cold ones still stands. :-) Hobbit is an amazing tool. You have no idea how much kudos I have received for it. We can predict issues, pre-empt problems, and monitor almost anything automatically. I wonder how I ever managed without it.
I hear that from lots of people, so I guess I must be doing something right!
