I installed the hobbit server and I was wondering how the local checks are sending data to the hobbit server. I found a bb executable. Is this the bb client from bb4.org ?
Hobbit ships with its own implementation of the "bb" utility. The naming is identical to the BB one, mostly for historical reasons and to make migrating from BB easier.
Btw, I'm running ubunutu on my laptop and I use BigBrother at work to monitor a lot of AIX servers for more then 6 years now. But I want to use hobbit on the AIX server to avoid license problems. So I also need information about installing up hobbit on a AIX server (I have not tried to install hobbit yet on AIX, but I will try it next week).
Hobbit should compile fine on AIX - I believe there are other people using it on both AIX 4.3 and 5.<something>.
