I don't know of one, but I've also never needed it as it is pretty obvious -- basically non-network tests run from the client. Anything that -- barring SNMP or something -- you'd have to log into the server to check. Anything that tests a network service by and large can come over the network from the server.

Sorry for my newbie question, but is there a summary of the default tests for a host, and whether they are run from the client side or the server side?
For example, we added a host to our config in hosts.cfg, but forgot to turn on the client scripts. Yet, “conn”, “ssh”, “ntp”, etc. still appeared as monitored.
