I followed all of these instructions, made the script and placed it in my startup which is located in /etc/init.d/rc6.d I restarted and it didn't work. When I test the script it works but it prompts me for the password of the user. How do I get past this. I did so the chmod 755 command.

Let me clarify, you need to modify /etc/init.d/hobbit so the variables at the top match how you installed Xymon.

Just execute those commands (as root) and you'll be done. I restarted the xymon.sh service. Not sure what happened. When I click to view a report on my xymon installation I get "Cannot load host configuration". I am not sure what I messed up. I can see the main page just fine it's just when I click on a smiley face. In my apache logs I see 'Could not connect to Xymon deamon at 127.0.0.1:1984 <http://deamon at 127.0.0.1:1984> (Connection refused); 'xymonboard fields=hostname, testname, disabletime, dismsg' All I did was reboot the server. -- _______________________________________________ Xymon mailing list Xymon at xymon.com <mailto:Xymon at xymon.com> http://lists.xymon.com/mailman/listinfo/xymon--
