well the hint was to use "alternate pageset" to read more about that you can in BBGEN manual (http://hobbitmon.sourceforge.net/docs/man1/bbgen.1.html) look for " BUILDING ALTERNATE PAGESETS". Actualy I don't know if it will help to solve problem, but then I've found a tag in wiki FAQ "How do I restrict access to Hobbit pages to specific people or groups ?" (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/System_Monitoring_with_Xymon/Other_Docs/FAQ#How...). Still I don't know if it will solve the problem, but for me it was a hint that helped me move on. If you have a beter solution for that I'll be always glad to hear it :)

Could you please explain what his hint was and how you actually used it to get what you want? I have a feeling it might help me get what I want :)

I am doing something like that today. I use the "alternate pageset" function. I have defined two (or more) pagesets where in one set, the system admins see all the data...cpu, mem, HDD, etc. and in the other I only show the application or services and I call it the Executive View. This way the Execs see if the application is good while not seeing that a disk might be filling up

Hi all
I have to design monitoring system, and there will be two main user groups who will use it: network administrators - their main need is to monitor the state of servers, and system monitoring team - their main need is to monitor the services runnig on those servers and some times they don't care about the state of server (if HDD is runnig out of space, load of cpu and so on). I wonder if there is any possibility to separate user roles on Hobbit or any work around for that.
Thanks in advance, Ricardas
