Are mrtg and hobbit running on the same server, or different servers? RRD is a binary format that is architecture specific. If you generate the RRDs on a big-endian box you can not open them on a little-endian box without doing an export/import. I think this is the same with 64bit/32bit as well.

I checked all of the permissions and paths. Everything is set correctly. Any other ideas?

I had similar problems when I set my hobbit server up some time ago and I would guess that it is a simple permissions problem.

Hey guys,
I’m trying to setup bbmrtg.pl on my server, using the latest version of mrtg and rrdtool. I’ve read the perdoc and configured everything accordingly but whenever I run the script from the command line I get the following error:
bbmrtg.pl: MRTG file -> </opt/hobbit/data/rrd/hostname/hostname_1.rrd> is invalid
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
