As far as I can tell these are the only two changes in quite some time to the alerts
http://sourceforge.net/p/xymon/code/7424/tree//trunk/xymond/xy mond_alert.c?diff=516c17fd34309d2eb14bcb64:7423 http://sourceforge.net/p/xymon/code/7424/tree//trunk/lib/loada lerts.c?diff=516c17fd34309d2eb14bcb64:7423
I will consider rolling them back to see what happens.
Those commits are to trunk, not the 4.3 branch. The most recent change in the 4.3 branch to loadalerts.c is r7359: http://sourceforge.net/p/xymon/code/7359/ And was released in 4.3.14. A further change was made in 4.3.15 to do_alert.c: http://sourceforge.net/p/xymon/code/7380/
For what it is worth (and despite my colleague claiming it does not seem to work) acknowledging events *does* work properly in 4.3.7 and I can use e.g. Delay=150 to acknowledge it for two and a half hours and get the next alert 2.5 hours later (tested today).
Kind regards,
