Hello again
I think a missed something crucial here.....
I can't find the client-local.cfg file on the hobbit client, but the localclient.cfg file "talk" about the client-local.cfg file regaring the log config.
Shall I just create the client-local.cfg file and put the config there?
I tried to but the log config in the localclient.cfg file but it was obviously wrong.
We run hobbit-client-4.2.0-1 version, installed from rpm package.
On the sevrer we run Hobbit 4.1.2p1.

Do i have to use a externel script to check a logfile like /var/log/messages on hobbit server/client, just like BB do?
No, the Hobbit client has log monitoring built-in.
First, add the logfile to the client-local.cfg file; /var/log/messages is in there by default for most types of systems, so you can probably skip that step.
Then you only need to setup the log monitoring in the hobbit-clients.cfg file to specify what you want to look for in the log data. See the hobbit-clients.cfg(5) man-page - the "msgs status column settings" section.
