Monitor port on agent

Hi all.

It might look a dumy question. But is there any smart way to monitor port connection from agent machine to some other server (can from that machine connect to other machine using certain port)? I know it can be done using netstat or telnet, but I am not good at that, so any help is welcome

P.S. servers is on UNIX OS (Solaris)
