xmon 4.3 - COMPACT: usage

The bb-hosts for 4.3 includes the following:

COMPACT:COLUMN=COLUMN1,COLUMN2,COLUMN3[;ditto] Collapses a series of statuses into a single column on the overview webpage.

Has anyone used this successfully, or has an example of usage? When I've tried this, it does not create a new column on display, but it does seem to make all the tests I list except for the first one unclickable (other words, clicking the icon seems to do nothing). -Alan
