And that is what we are now implementing, starting with the release of version 4.3.18 which jc will be announcing shortly.
J.C.: If still possible, please mention in the 4.3.18 announcement that the release fixes the CVE-2015-1430 vulnerability, i.e. the acknowledge.c(gi) buffer overrun introduced in 4.3.4. (Thanks to Mark Felder for checking when this was introduced!)
