Hobbit just logs the color, it doesn't decide it. Disk thresholds are set on the client - check the bb-dftab setting on the client.
You are absolutely right. By the time it gets to hobbit it already gets the color. I cannot believe I asked such a stupid question after using it for almost 3 years.
I will try to be more careful next time :P
