Just patched to RC3 yesterday and am noticing occasional purple today. I currently have 4 disabled hosts, but I can't remember if it was showing purple for all 4.
As you mentioned a page regen clears it up.
I have a lot of disabled hosts, so it's definitely not showing all of them. I think I've seen at most four of these phantom purples at one time.
