No, it's a feature. Your URL happens to be just like the one Hobbit uses for testing URL's through a proxy server.

I haven't tried, but I think it might work if you change the last part of the URL to use a "%3a" instead of the colon. Like

http://www.xxx.com/front/module/render/http%3a//yyyyy.com/HOME
